The Herald

'The Herald' is our church magazine, which is issued every two months with no charge.

Lal Beaumont is the Editor and the contributions flow in rapidly as a rule from members of our congregation. She has been editing this for about 17 years and tries to include something for everyone - the Minister's letter; everyday items such as Flower Rota, Birthdays news of the Church Family be it Congratulations on some special event, or news of those in our fellowship who are not well or hospitalised and the few who are in residential homes so that we can keep in touch with them; we remember those who are mourning a relative or friend; our expectant Mums and those of our church who are now living and working abroad. There are lots of things and people to pray for and we remember to do that also. There are a few pages for the children and young people with puzzles to solve and anything else that goes on in the life of our church, which we think people will want to know about. It really is up to the church fellowship to send appropriate articles into Lal (by email is acceptable if a computer is available). She loves typing the magazine and putting it together, and just awaits the news that comes her way. Her helper in this Pam Soames who writes the pages for the childrens well as doing the 'write-ups' of the Women's Fellowship meetings, and anything else that comes her way which she feels would be acceptable for the magazine. Lal and Pam photocopy the magazine together, and we work as a team folding, stapling, and putting names on the cover ready for distribution at the end of every two months. We have it all organised and really enjoy doing it.
