Listening Ear

Our aim is to offer help and support to you if you find yourself troubled or struggling at the moment. This could relate to any area of your life now, or from the past.

We have a small team of trained counsellors, all church members. One of the team would meet with you, usually away from church premises, to talk over anything you wish. This is part of the pastoral care offered within Plume Avenue Church.

When you meet, it is a confidential conversation between you and the team member you are meeting with.

We take a non-directive approach, which means we will not give you advice or tell you what to do, but aim to provide an environment in which you can safely explore your own thoughts and feelings, in order to find your way forward.

Each session normally lasts up to an hour. You may wish to meet just once, or you may find you wish to meet regularly over a period of weeks.

We abide by the ethical framework of the Association of Christian Counsellors. There is no charge made, but any donations go towards the running costs.
